Derson (born as Xander Danger Gipson) is a 16 year old Minnesota-born indie/alternative artist with emotional lyrics opening up on his feelings, struggles with anxiety and depression, heartbreaks and more. Ever since a toddler, Derson was always surrounded by music, from his dad being in a band and seeing his dad perform many shows, or simply just having music playing everywhere he went, which caused him to be so intrigued in creating his own, even if it was playing with his father’s guitars or singing his heart out. He claims he knew from the day he discovered music, he knew he wanted to create his own and per-sue his musical passion. He was also raised in a small town in which many musicians called home, so he instantly had connections with other artists, such as Pardyalone and Species. His dream is to put out a message in the world and help to spread Mental Health Awareness.
